- Lay it flat. Place the pad on a level surface where your cat already likes to sleep — a crate floor, a cat tree platform, a sofa cushion, or the floor itself. Keep it flat and unfolded. Never fold or bunch the pad while it's switched on.
- Plug it in. Connect the pad to a wall outlet. The cord runs from the pad through the inline controller to the plug — keep the cord clear of walkways and away from anything that might pinch it.
- Choose a setting. Slide the controller to low, medium, or high. The indicator light confirms it's powered. Low suits kittens and mild days; high suits cold nights, garages, porches, and unheated rooms.
